2014 WI State Fair Poster On Sale Now

Congratulations to 2014 Fairtastic Poster Grand Champion Artist, Larry Schultz!

The Wisconsin State Fairtastic Art Competition was the first annual poster competition for 2014 and is a way to celebrate and engage local and statewide artisan talent. The Grand Champion piece will be displayed during the 2014 Wisconsin State Fair, presented by U.S. Cellular, July 31 - August 10. But you can purchase your own copy today!

Purchase online for $14 which includes shipping and handleing. Or you can purchase at the WI State Fairwear Stores during the Fair for $10. All proceeds from the poster will support the Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation and it's nonprofilt mission. 

Grand Champion Artist
Larry Schultz was chosen as the Grand Champion Artist of the 2014 Wisconsin State Fairtastic Poster Art Competition, who received a $1000 cash prize upon the completion of the final artwork.

Schultz grew up in Milton, Wis., a small, rural town known for its agriculture and community, and developed a passion for art, drawing and detail as a young boy. He established himself as a Wisconsin artist early on and took particular interest in applying his love for the outdoors to the canvas. Schultz has dedicated his life to his art, teaching classes, conducting painting workshops and designing murals, and has been awarded numerous recognitions and honors.

We have a new program designed to increase casual seating on the Wisconsin State Fair Park grounds while supporting the nonprofit mission of the Foundation. It's also a great way to honor your family, loved ones and memories. Benches are 8' and made of recycled products. Help plant the seeds for more seats at the Wisconsin State Fair Park.

Become a Friend of the Fair!

Are you a Fair Fanatic?

Show your pride in the Wisconsin State Fair by joining the Foundation's Fair Friends.  Friends support improvements, scholarships and youth programs at Wisconsin State Fair Park. Gift levels range from $150 to $2,500 and can be renewed each year.

All Friends will receive a personalized brick in the Grand Champion Patio located at the Central Mall Fountain on the fairgrounds.

In return for supporting the Foundation, Fair Friends are rewarded with special benefits not available to the general public.

To make sure your personalized brick is installed by the annual Wisconsin State Fair, please submit your order by May 30th. The annual deadline to receive all other benefits is June 30th. After these dates, benefits are for the following year's State Fair. Celebrate Wisconsin State Fair and join us today!

Volunteer Opportunities

The Foundation has many opportunities for volunteers to share their skills, including:

  • Staff the Foundation Booths at Wisconsin State Fair, Harvest Fair, and other events
  • Serve on one of the Event Committees
  • Provide service at the Coat Check Booth for various events at the Wisconsin Exposition Center
  • Assist with the annual Golf Outing and other events throughout the year
  • Give clerical assistance in the Foundation Office

As a Thank You, all Foundation volunteers receive complementary tickets to Wisconsin State Fair.

The Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation, established in 1995, is a 501c3 non-profit corporation.

Mission Statement:

  1. Secure private and public partnerships
  2. Generate resources to support Youth Program development at Wisconsin State Fair Park
  3. Assist the Wisconsin State Fair Park Board with future facility planning and development
  4. Provide funding for improvements to the Tommy G. Thompson Youth Center
