Are you a Fair Fanatic?

Show your pride in the Wisconsin State Fair by joining the Foundation's Fair Friends.  Friends support improvements, scholarships and youth programs at Wisconsin State Fair Park. Gift levels range from $150 to $2,500 and can be renewed each year.

All Friends will receive a personalized brick in the Grand Champion Patio located at the Central Mall Fountain on the fairgrounds.

In return for supporting the Foundation, Fair Friends are rewarded with special benefits not available to the general public.

To make sure your personalized brick is installed by the annual Wisconsin State Fair, please submit your order by May 30th. The annual deadline to receive all other benefits is June 30th. After these dates, benefits are for the following year's State Fair.

WaterStone Bank is celebrating 90 Years of Community Service by Giving $90,000 to Non-Profits

To commemorate its 90th Anniversary, WaterStone Bank has offered local non-profit organizations the opportunity to compete for $90,000 in awards during the month of April 2011.

The $90,000 will be awarded based on the votes submitted by friends and supporters of each non-profit, and the general public, from April 1 through April 30, 2011.  The non-profit that receives the most votes during April will receive $30,000.  The four non-profits with the next highest number of votes will each receive $15,000.

Place your votes on WaterStone Bank’s website at www.wsbonline.com/anniversary. There is NO LIMIT to the number of votes an individual may place. So we are hoping that you are able to vote often!

Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation Board Welcomes New Members

MILWAUKEE, WI – February 11, 2011 – Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation Board has announced the addition of two board members.  Mike Wojciechowski, Milwaukee Admirals VP of Business Development and President of the Foundation Board, welcomed Dan Elias, Express Promotions and John Lavin, The Lavin Group to the Foundation Board.

“Dan Elias is well known in the event industry providing the popular event logo merchandise to both Wisconsin State Fair and Summerfest and we are looking forward to being able to tap into his promotional expertise.  John Lavin is also no stranger to Wisconsin State Fair or the Foundation.  The Lavin Group managed the Budweiser Pavilion at the Fair for many years and John was instrumental in the development of the Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation.” stated Doak Geiger, Chair of the Foundation’s Board Development Committee.

Dan and John join an active Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation Board, led by President, Mike Wojciechowski; Vice-President, Diane Charno of Ascedia; Past-President, Steve Sazama, Saz’s State House; and Treasurer, John Sheehan of Beechwood Sales & Service.  Other board members include Mary Henke, Milwaukee; Gloria Ratajewski, New Berlin; Jim Mejchar, West Allis; Doak Geiger, Geiger & Associates; Chris Grant, Grant Koehler & Levin, LTD; William Rameker, Murphy Desmond SC in Madison and Sarah Smith, Marquette University.

The Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting Wisconsin State Fair Park youth programming, the Tommy G. Thompson Youth Center, and future facility planning and development at Wisconsin State Fair Park.

The public can support the Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation and its mission by becoming a Foundation Friend and purchasing a personalized Grand Champion Patio brick, becoming a volunteer and participating in the Foundation Golf Outing on July 19, 2011 at Western Lakes Golf Club in Pewaukee.
