Wisconsin State Fair Park Youth Foundation Board

Welcomes New Member, Sarah Smith, at the Feburary Board Meeting.  Sarah is Marquette University’s Managing Director, Regional Management – Milwaukee & Corporate and Foundation Relations.   

“Sarah has extensive experience in event and fund raising development” stated Doak Geiger, Chair of the Youth Foundation’s Board Development Committee.  “Sarah spent two years as Special Event Director at UPAF, followed by seven years with Summerfest before joining Marquette University.  Her background is a great asset to the Youth Foundation”.

Sarah joins the active Wisconsin State Fair Park Youth Foundation Board, led by Chair Steve Sazama of Saz’s, Treasurer, John Sheehan of Beechwood Sales & Service and Secretary, Jim Barry of Arctic Glacier, Inc.   Other board members include Mary Henke, Milwaukee; Gloria Ratajewski, New Berlin; Jim Mejchar, West Allis; Doak Geiger, Geiger & Associates; Diane Charno, Ascedia Inc; Chris Grant, Grant Koehler & Levin, LTD; Mike Wojciechowski, Milwaukee Admirals, and William Ramaker an attorney with Murphy Desmond SC in Madison.

The Wisconsin State Fair Park Youth Foundation is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting Wisconsin State Fair Park youth programming, the Tommy G. Thompson Youth Center, and future facility planning and development at Wisconsin State Fair Park. 

The public can support the Wisconsin State Fair Park Youth Foundation and its mission by becoming a Youth Foundation member, serving as a volunteer during the annual Wisconsin State Fair, purchasing Grand Champion Patio commemorative bricks and participating in Youth Foundation fund-raising events such its Golf-On-A-Stick Golf Outing, July 7, 2010 at Western Lakes Golf Club in Pewaukee.
